CHANGES IN BENEFITS FOR UKRAINIAN REFUGEES
As of September 1, 2024, new rules for receiving the 800+ and 300+ benefits for Ukrainian refugees are being introduced.
Here are the key changes:
- 800+ benefit:
- Will only be paid to school-age children of Ukrainian refugees who are actually attending a Polish school.
- Distance learning in Ukrainian schools will not be counted.
- “Good Start” benefit (300+):
- The same rules apply as for the 800+ benefit.
- Benefits for preschoolers and children over 8 years old:
- Remain unchanged. You can receive benefits regardless of whether your child attends a Polish school.
- The following payments for Ukrainian refugees are being canceled:
- Compensation for document photos.
- Daily payment of 40 zloty per person.
- Important points:
- There is a possibility of retaining the 40 zloty payment per person in exceptional cases. To do this, you must conclude an appropriate agreement with the voivode (details are currently unknown).
- Attending a Polish school becomes mandatory for Ukrainian children. Distance learning in Ukrainian schools will no longer be considered fulfillment of educational requirements.
